Julie Brooke was born in Malawi and began a formal education in ceramics through an apprenticeship at Davidson Pottery in Scotland. Brooke studied Clay and Glaze Technology at Mesa College, San Diego and Development of Color in Glaze at Metchosin International School of the Arts, Canada. Brooke has exhibited locally and abroad, most notably in the Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, Scotland.
