Susan Ronan received a BS in Interior Design and has been creating jewelry designs for the past 15 years. Ronan was inspired by the motifs and textures in Asian art, after a trip to Japan. The ornamental use of iron and Asian inspired motifs are prevalent in Ronan’s work. Ronan uses traditional techniques to fabricate each piece, etching away background areas or chasing to create texture and rhythm.
“I design and craft jewelry because it fulfills my need to create: I am a maker.” – Ronan
