Brandon Roy

Brandon Roy started his career in sculpture at the age of 18 when he became an apprentice at a fine art bronze foundry. After two years at the foundry, Roy decided to pursue a classical education in sculpture and moved to Florence, Italy where he remained for three years and attended the Florence Academy of Art. Upon receiving his diploma from the academy, Roy returned to the US where he completed a five year apprenticeship under the sculptor Chris Pardell. While working for Pardell Design, Roy consulted on numerous public art projects and oversaw the production of sculpture from design to on-site installation. Currently Roy is serving as the Director of the California Sculpture Academy. Access to the Academies on site foundry allowed him to expand his knowledge of classical bronze casting techniques.
