Bryce Nihill works professionally as a visual designer and a commissioned fine artist. He studied Fine Arts and Communication Design at Pratt Institute where he received a BFA. Originally from the Northeast, he spent more than two decades working as a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Creative Director in New York City crafting digital and interactive experiences for a number of Fortune 500 clients.
Since relocating to Carlsbad, California in 2016, Nihill has rekindled his love of analog-art and has been working primarily in painting, drawing and collage. His recent work has been featured in several group shows in the San Diego area.
Intrigued by the concepts set forth in the study of quantum fields, his work is informed by the proposed frameworks that help to make sense of the chaotic energy that underlies our reality. His use of repetitive forms, layered grids, and bold color palettes create dynamic geometric compositions filled with rhythm and graphic intensity.
