Erik Gronborg is an artist, focusing on sculpture, ceramics and studio furniture, a writer and gardener. Since arriving in the USA from Denmark over five decades ago to study at the University of California, Berkeley and receiving his BA and MA in Art, Gronborg has been featured in over 45 solo exhibitions around the world including at the Musee d’Art Moderne in Paris, the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City, the Art Museum at Arizona State University in Tempe, the Portland Museum of Contemporary Crafts, and the Mingei International Museum in San Diego. Gronborg has also written a book “Our Garden” about the award-winning garden he created with his wife and fellow artist Irina. They have hosted more than 33 garden tours and the garden has been featured widely in the media.
