Laura Green is a San Diego-based acrylic painter exploring the
interconnection Californian ecosystems- plants, animals and humans. Drawing inspiration from hiking with her family, her work blends vibrant colors with loose brushstrokes to evoke the thrill of interacting with the wilderness. Green received a BA in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz, and more recently earned a certificate in Art and The Creative Process at UCSD and a post-bacc in Studio Arts from UC Berkeley. She is a studio artist at The Studio Door in Hillcrest and represented by Cobalt gallery in South Park. Green regularly participates in projects to exhibit her work in public spaces, such as with the city of Glendale, and local library branches. Green is especially interested in exploring how experiences in nature are critical for childhood development, and is currently developing a new series exploring this theme.
