Maria de Castro graduated with a Fine Arts major from San Diego State University and has exhibited locally and nationally. De Castro’s current body of work, “Birdhead Barbies”, ‘is “inspired by one of the most iconic figures in the world and our reverence for the nurturing power of women.”
