Artist Statement: If in your head you sing the song by the same name and explore this image you’ll see a bit of the story I see when I look at this tree. Just under 10 images layers were used to create Catch a Falling Star, including the main image, three texure layers from the side of tree trunks, outer coloring and something I pulled from my back pocket. The main image was captured in the Desert Garden in Balboa Park, San Diego. That garden has certainly been the gift that keeps on giving. Such unique trees beaming with personality. Part of my Alternate Treeality™ series.
