These calla lily earrings are hand fabricated and formed out of 2 separate pieces of copper, and then layered for visual weight, but physically very light and comfortable. The middle piece is torch fired enamel. Enamelling is a process of fusing colored glass to the surface of metal using high heat temperatures. The result is a bright red interior contrasted by a dark rustic patina. This piece was inspired by the calla lily. Although its roots are poisonous, the call lily is known for its ‘regal beauty’.
