Description

This sculpture was inspired by ancient musical instruments that I saw being played on the street in China.

It shows a thoughtful male head with black hair, hand to mouth, with a grouping of four moon shaped lutes or mandolins called “Yuegin” on his head.

He could be the musician, dreaming of his music, or the listener, so intent on catching all the nuances of the music being played.
