Description

Walker Canyon went from being beautiful rolling hills of orange poppies, peppered with purple and white to what the Lake Elsinore mayor referred to as a “Poppy Apocalypse.” I found it easy to capture a good photograph of this beautiful area but quite a challenge to capture something that really stood out to me. These two poppies seemed to isolate themselves from the rest and reach for the sky. As soon as I saw this image I knew it was “the one.” I want this image from the edge of the hill to also represent the beauty of an untouched area of poppies to show people what it can and should be without interrupting nature and it’s beauty by going into the fields and causing unnecessary damage to them.
