Artist Statement: ‘Silent Icons’ is a depiction of female representation in the public eye. Picturing several of Hollywood’s earliest “It” girls (desired, beautiful, and marketable women) we know the formula usually stays the same. From hidden sexual identities, mental illness, or equal rights, their true identities are concealed. However they silently remain in history, tears being symbols of desire and truth.
