Comes in a simple black floater frame (21.75 x 17.75 inches with frame, 20 x 16 without)

In the process of conceptualizing this artwork I was heavily influenced by witnessing a beautiful meteor shower one night. The fleeting and magical sight had to be embodied by a creature just as beautiful and rare. The Australian black cockatoo shares similar starry spots on its glossy dark feathers and so a star was born. I imagined it as a blessed being, being crowned with light and emerging from the gaseous ether of space. – Kelly Sutphin
