The North Park water tower, now a historic landmark, is an image composed out of 45 individual images, resulting in a sharp detailed image of the tower. “I was standing on the other side of the street and used a long lens (80-400mm) at 130 mm to capture it by “scanning” it from the top left to bottom right. Normally I hand color my b&w photos with oils, but didn’t do that here, as I wanted the tower printed on Kodak Metallic paper. The image is printed with a RA lightjet. The tower is framed in a steel frame reflecting the metal, structure and color of the tower itself.” — Kerckhoffs
