Description
“The ‘Turnos Table Project’, is an adaptation from prior explorations with reclaimed architectural elements that date back to 2013. The initial concept behind this piece is derived from a very specific, non-rectilinear approach to design, called – Deconstructivism. Usually noted in architecture, Deconstructivism is characterized by the use of fragmentation, manipulation of ideas of a structure’s surface or skin, redefinition of shapes and forms, and radical manifestation of complexity in a building. While keeping the initial context and materials steeped in the language of furniture design, I borrowed the deconstruction philosophy when executing the physical construction of this table.” – Robles
