Description

This painting pays a homage to F. Gilot 1941 still life of occupied by Nazis Paris. In her version the mood is sad and the painting is heavy & dark.
In opposite I wanted to make a happier painting of todays Paris, it is a spring morning with a violet vail of light.
The reason of using geometrical shapes is to simplify objects and be more direct by avoiding details, this style came out from collages cutouts and my love for geometry.
