SPARKS GALLERY SUPPORTS CHILDREN OF INTI: PHOTO MURAL PROJECT

Sparks Gallery is pleased to announce that they are featuring two photographs by rural children of Peru in support of a campaign for the Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development. The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development is looking to raise funds and awareness for their “Children of Inti: Photo Mural Project”. Eric Ebner, currently an intern at Sparks Gallery, has worked the past 4 years to bring donated cameras and education about the medium of photography to a class of students in the Sacred Valley of Peru. An indiegogo campaign is raising money to send the students (ages 13-18) to the city of Cusco to display their own photos as large scale murals on the city walls. This project gives rural children an outlet for creative expression and allows the viewer to experience the way in which indigenous farming communities see the world. Sparks Gallery will feature two photographs from the student photographers, which will be on display to the public between March 14 and April 13, 2015.
