Collection: Paul Strahm

Small town Ohio provided an outdoor playground — fields, creeks, lakes and streets (without cars) were Strahm’s world. Childhood was pretty idyllic in middle America. Today, his professional life is a reflection from those early years. Each day involves a french easel, four tubes of oil paint, some bristle brushes, canvas and a world full of subjects found outdoors. Working full-time as a professional artist in San Diego provides year-round weather suitable for this form of play. This joy of being outside and creating is found in each one of his paintings.
