North Promenade

This scenic, sprawling space is a blank canvas that can accommodate events of up to 2,000 people. It features a 75,000 square-foot, wide strip of green lawn and is surrounded by the historic Spanish Revival-style architecture of the Naval Training Center. Guests love the beautiful 88-foot Norfolk pine tree that greets them at the forefront of the venue.

South Promenade

South Promenade

The south end of the promenade is just as appealing, with 75,000 feet of grass surrounded by stunning rustic pathways and iconic archways. South Promenade is in The Quarter near The North Chapel and contains a brilliant fountain at the end. This space can also accommodate up to 2,000 guests.

Chapel

CHAPEL

Also known as The North Chapel, this gorgeous historic landmark is advertised as mainly a wedding venue, but you can use it for any event or ceremony. The site used to be the former Naval Training Center in San Diego until it closed in 1993, and restoration began soon afterward. This space boasts vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and simple decor. 

Main features:

  • The facility can seat 200 guests but can accommodate more for certain events. 
  • You can bring your own catering vendor, or Chapel can find one for you.
  • It’s pet-friendly! 
  • It’s merely 7 minutes away from the airport, and 8 minutes walking distance from Premier Hotel.

The Patio at Moniker General

Moniker General is a charming retail shop, coffee place, and bar with a prime spot for small events on its patio. Moniker’s website states that it’s best suited for birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, and bridal showers. Some of its features include:

  • Seating for 40 people plus extra smaller tables for additional guests or decor 
  • Private entrance for guests
  • Custom-built gorgeous patio furniture to complement any event
  • Complimentary Liberty Station parking lots around the corner
  • A variety of packages including beer, wine, cocktails, coffee, and partnerships with local restaurants for your catering needs

Ingram Plaza

This plaza is smack-dab in the middle of Liberty Station and is the perfect space for any event, including military functions, festivals, concerts, and corporate events. Ingram is a 100,000 square-foot, park-like space with a giant American flag in the middle, large open quadrants of grass, and trees along the perimeter. Ingram Plaza can fit up to 3,000 guests and is near large neighboring parking lots, making it very accessible.   

The Presley

The Presley

The Presley is an outdoor restaurant and bar in Liberty Station and is ideal for anything from formal dinner events to casual get-togethers. The restaurant accommodates both small events with as little as 20 guests and the ability to buy out the whole venue for 250 guests. The Presley serves classic American fare with local seafood, shareable options, dessert, and an impressive cocktail list. 

Events take place on one of their spacious, modern-looking covered patios. Evening events are illuminated by elegant string lights and lanterns. On their website, you can take a virtual tour of the event space, where you’ll notice lush greenery and various seating options, including benches with pillows, tables, and even swinging benches. 

NTC Park

This park is owned and operated by the City of San Diego’s Parks and Recreation Department. Small events and parties with less than 50 guests are allowed without a permit, but anything with over 50 guests requires you to apply for a permit through the Cabrillo Recreation Center. You also need a permit if you plan on having any service providers at your event such as a bounce house, canopies, generators, catering services, etc. NTC park features:

  • Two “tot lot” playgrounds
  • An outdoor basketball court
  • 4 Multi-purpose fields
  • 4 Passive picnic and special events fields
  • One large special event field 
  • Pets are allowed on a leash
  • No water or electrical hookups
  • No motor vehicles allowed on the turf and/or sidewalks

Luce Court and Legacy Plaza

Luce Court

This 20,000 square-foot paved venue is perfect for festivals, receptions, and other special events. Luce Court features an impressive fountain, brilliantly lit palm trees, and superb gardens. 

Sybil Stockdale Rose Garden

This space is a gorgeous, intimate courtyard with a fountain in the middle, and is ideal for receptions, small parties, ceremonies, and other events for up to 150 guests. The venue was donated as a gift to honor United States Navy wives and features gorgeous rosebushes – each of which are selected and dedicated to loved ones. The Rose Garden was named after the wife of Vice Admiral James Stockdale. 

Building 177

Building 177

This venue was once the original Navy Training Center library and is known for its iconic vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. This space is excellent for weddings, receptions, conferences, trade shows, and other large events. Its 7,000 square feet of space can accommodate up to 700 guests.

A bridal suite and prep kitchen are conveniently included with each rental to provide hosts with extra private space outside the event area. Building 177 offers additional, optional amenities such as furniture, a projector with a 15’x20’ screen, Bose sound system, and WiFi.
