Sadly, many public schools stopped teaching cursive writing after being dropped from Common Core standards in 2010 because of waning relevance. Cursive has traditionally been used to sign one's name with a signature. This is a declining art form. What may also be lost is the ability to read other historical letters from history or even the original writing of the Constitution. - Duke Windsor
