Starting the Day

I had asked my ex-colleague - who is a surfer - to stand still as much as possible for at least 3 minutes or so, enabling me to capture the Scripps Pier with a tranquil ocean. This shot was one of many attempts as the waves were crashing in to him, which was a 15 second exposure. --Kerckhoffs
