Collection: Brennan Hubbell

“Brennan Hubbell was awarded the 2013 San Diego Art Prize in the emerging category and paired with established renowned artist James Hubbell. The two have been showing work together throughout San Diego venues, such as the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla, and the San Diego Contemporary Art Fair.

“I like a sculpture to ride a line between symbol and abstraction. I like when one viewer does not see anything in a sculpture and another person immediately says, that’s a fish. It allows for the art to change over time, from person to person, and in different context.” –Hubbell
