“My art is merely an expression of my constant pursuit of knowledge and experience in life. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed creating new and original things. Starting in elementary school with an interest in drawing and design. I quickly began improving my repertoire of skills by learning anything that caught my eye, whether I believed it would help my art or not.” Barfield recalls. He explains that this mentality has allowed him to lead an enriched and experienced life that he is able to translate through art. Barfield aims to create new and never before seen art pieces using a variety of original and traditional techniques that stem from many different crafts. Paired with a desire for technical perfection, the artist hopes these creations reflect upon him and his growth as an artist as much as they demonstrate his skill.
