Ine Above is a gouache painting that gives a glimpse into the beginning of 2020 and my first time traveling to Japan. Traveling through Tokyo, Kyoto and finally Ine, I fell in love with the peaceful, rainy traditional town by the Sea. Watching fisherman, feeding brown Eagles and eating delicious food, I felt the need to portray what I experienced in a series of mini gouache paintings. This is one of them.
