“My first photographic journey to Utah as a professional photographer had been both long awaited and well planned. There were several stops along the way but the first morning our itinerary started at ‘the toadstools’ in Kanab, Utah. The hike was quiet and lonely and my friend and I were the only people in the vast area that morning. We made our way out from the trailhead to these amazing natural sculptures and were completely blown away. The balancing act put on by these toadstool rock formations is incredible and well worth the long riverbed hike to see them. I will never forget that morning that opened my eyes to the beauty of Utah’s magical landscape.” – Barnes
